Privacy policy
Plain English. We don't sell your details, ever.
Who we are
PodMove.ie is an Irish directory listing suppliers of garden homes, static caravans and pods, together with the hauliers, crane firms and groundworks contractors who deliver and site them.
If you have any question about your information, or want it removed, email info@podmove.ie and we'll deal with it.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us:
- Quote requests. If you use the quote request form, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, county, the details you give about your job, any photo you upload, and which types of firm you ticked.
- Cost calculator. If you choose to send your results, we collect your email, your answers, and which boxes you ticked.
- Business listing details. If you're a business asking to be listed, we collect what you send us: company name, contact details, service areas and any photos.
We don't require you to create an account, and we don't ask for anything we don't need.
What we do with quote requests
We pass your request to firms in the categories you ticked, covering your county. That's it. If you tick "crane hire" in Kildare, your details go to crane firms covering Kildare. They don't go to solar installers, they don't go to another county, and they don't go on any list.
We do not sell your details. We do not build marketing lists from requests. We do not pass anything to categories you didn't tick.
The firms we pass your details to become responsible for how they use them from that point. We only share with businesses listed on PodMove.ie.
Your consent, and taking it back
Ticking a category is your consent for us to pass your request to that type of firm. Nothing is pre-ticked, and you choose each one. You can withdraw that at any time: email info@podmove.ie, or reply "stop" to any message you get from us, and we'll delete your details and stop passing them on. No explanation needed.
Business listings
Some listings were compiled from publicly available information (company websites, public business directories and published contact details), because a directory with nothing in it is no use to anyone. If your business is listed and you'd rather it wasn't, email info@podmove.ie and we'll remove it promptly.
Business contact details published for trade purposes are treated as business information, not personal data, where that applies.
How long we keep things
- Quote requests: deleted within 6 months, or immediately on request.
- Business listings: kept while the listing is live, removed on request.
Cookies and tracking
The site doesn't set advertising or tracking cookies. We don't run ad networks and we don't profile visitors. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of serving them. Listing cards show a preview image of each business's website, loaded from WordPress.com's screenshot service, which receives your IP address in the same way. If we add analytics later, this page will be updated first, and we'll ask for consent where the law requires it.
Where your data is held
Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify. Data may be stored on servers within the EU or, where a provider operates internationally, under standard data protection safeguards.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that's wrong, delete it, stop using it, or send you a copy of it. Email info@podmove.ie and we'll respond within a month. If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Information on this site isn't advice
Our guides, including anything about the 45m² planning exemption, are general information, not legal, planning or financial advice. Always confirm your own situation with your local authority. Listings are not endorsements, and we don't vet the work of the businesses listed. Check credentials, insurance and references yourself before hiring anyone.
