2. If someone else looks after your website

Most people are in this boat, and it's the easiest route. Send them this page. Everything they need is on it, including the code version below. They'll know exactly what to do with it.

A good spot is your footer, a "Find us on" section, or an "As featured on" area if you have one. Anywhere that appears on every page is ideal.

3. Doing it yourself

If you log into your own website, here's where to go. Find the one that matches what your site was built with — and if you're not sure, it's almost always WordPress.

WordPress

  1. Log in and go to Appearance → Widgets, or Appearance → Editor → Footer on a newer theme.
  2. Add or open a Text or Paragraph block in your footer.
  3. Paste the plain wording from section 1.
  4. Highlight the words PodMove.ie, click the link button (the chain icon), and paste https://podmove.ie
  5. Click Update or Save.

Wix

  1. Open your site in the Wix Editor.
  2. Scroll to the footer and click Add → Text.
  3. Paste the plain wording from section 1.
  4. Highlight PodMove.ie, click the link icon, choose Web Address, and enter https://podmove.ie
  5. Click Publish — changes aren't live until you do.

Squarespace

  1. Log in and click Edit on any page.
  2. Scroll to the footer and click into it, then add a Text block.
  3. Paste the plain wording from section 1.
  4. Highlight PodMove.ie, click the link icon, and enter https://podmove.ie
  5. Click Save.

Google Business Profile

You can't add a clickable link to your profile description, but you can post an update, and those show up in search.

  1. Search your own business name while signed in to the Google account that manages it.
  2. Click Promote → Add update.
  3. Paste the plain wording from section 1 and publish.

Common questions

Does this cost me anything?

No. Your listing is free until 31 January 2027, and it stays up whether you link to us or not. This is a favour, not a condition.

Will it affect my own Google ranking?

Linking out to a relevant Irish directory is completely normal and won't harm your site. Google expects businesses to link to trade bodies, suppliers and directories.

I don't have a website at all.

Then the Facebook post is your option, and it's a good one. Plenty of your customers are on there.

Can you add photos or change my details?

Yes, gladly. Send them on and we'll update your listing. We'd rather have it right than guess.
